they danced by the light of the moon

Where horses neighed
and children played
we danced by the light of the moon

i danced, i played, i grew
i loved deeply, thus i bleed uncontrollably,
this is to have given your heart to love
but i still,
danced by the light of the moon

the day came in which i lay,
where the horses now graze, no longer can i hear the neighs
i watched as children used laughter to console
comfort came
when they danced by the light of the moon

and now, i sit with stars
and hang from the moon
as i watch,
while they dance by the light of the moon
